Paro to Shana
Drive to Drukgyel Dzong and begin the trek following the Paro Chhu river through forests, farmlands, and traditional villages. The trail is gradual and scenic with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Walking Time: 5–6 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 2,850m Overnight camp at Shana.

Shana to Soi Thangthangkha
Trek through dense pine and rhododendron forests while following the river valley deeper into the mountains. Enjoy occasional views of snow-capped peaks and waterfalls along the trail. Distance: Approx. 22km Walking Time: 6–7 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 3,750m Overnight camp at Soi Thangthangkha.

Soi Thangthangkha to Jangothang
Continue trekking through yak pastures and alpine meadows toward the spectacular Jangothang campsite located at the base of Mount Jomolhari. The campsite offers incredible panoramic mountain views. Distance: 19 km Walking Time: 5–6 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 4,080m Overnight camp at Jangothang.

Acclimatization Day at Jangothang
Spend the day acclimatizing and exploring the surrounding high-altitude valleys. Optional hikes offer closer views of Mount Jomolhari, Jichu Drake, and nearby glacial lakes. Cross the high Nyile La Pass with spectacular Himalayan views before descending toward the remote village of Lingshi. The route offers dramatic mountain landscapes and yak grazing areas. Distance: 18 km Walking Time: 6–7 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 4,010m Overnight camp at Lingshi.

Trek across the scenic Yale La Pass surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks before descending through alpine meadows and forests toward Shodu. Distance: 22 km Walking Time: 7–8 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 4,080m Overnight camp at Shodu.

Shodu to Barshong
Follow the Thimphu Chhu river through rhododendron forests, waterfalls, and peaceful valleys. Visit the ruins of Barshong Dzong overlooking the valley. Distance: 16 km Walking Time: 5–6 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 3,720m Overnight camp at Barshong.

Barshong to Dolam Kencho and Drive to Thimphu
Final trek through forests and traditional villages before reaching the road point at Dolam Kencho. Drive onward to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. End of the Jomolhari Trek. Distance: 15 km Walking Time: 4–5 hours Drive Time: Approx. 1.5 hours
