Day-by-day itinerary

  1. 1

    Day 01– Paro to Jangchulakha

    Drive to the trekking starting point and begin the trek through pine forests and mountain ridges overlooking Paro valley. Enjoy beautiful views of the Himalayas and yak grazing meadows along the route. Walking Time: 6–7 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 3,780m Overnight camp at Jangchulakha.

    Day 02 – Jangchulakha to Jimilang Tsho

    Trek through alpine meadows and rhododendron forests toward the beautiful sacred lake of Jimilang Tsho. The campsite offers stunning mountain scenery and peaceful surroundings. Walking Time: 4–5 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 3,880m Overnight camp near Jimilang Tsho.

    Day 03 – Jimilang Tsho to Simkotra Tsho

    Continue trekking through high mountain ridges and pass several scenic alpine lakes. Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges and untouched Bhutanese wilderness. Walking Time: 4–5 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 4,110m Overnight camp at Simkotra Tsho.

    Day 04 – Simkotra Tsho to Phajoding

    The trail gradually descends toward Phajoding Monastery overlooking Thimphu valley. Enjoy spectacular mountain views and peaceful forest trails. Walking Time: 4–5 hours Camp Altitude: Approx. 3,650m Overnight camp at Phajoding.

    Day 05– Phajoding to Thimphu

    Final descent through forest trails to Thimphu. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel or continue sightseeing in the capital city. End of the Druk Path Trek.
