Drive from Thimphu to Genekha village, the starting point of the trek. The trail climbs gradually through forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron before opening into alpine meadows with beautiful mountain views. Camp overnight at Gur surrounded by peaceful Himalayan landscapes. Trek Distance: 7 km Walking Time: 5–6 Hours Camp Altitude: 3,290m

Today’s trek ascends through ridges and yak grazing pastures. As you gain altitude, the first beautiful alpine lakes begin to appear. A full exploration and acclimatization day around the famous Thousand Lakes region. Hike between crystal-clear alpine lakes surrounded by dramatic Himalayan scenery.
