(Dochula Pass) One of Bhutan’s most scenic mountain passes, Dochula is famous for its 108 memorial stupas built in honor of Bhutanese soldiers. On clear days, guests can enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped eastern Himalayas. Continue the journey descending into the warm and fertile Punakha Valley. Sightseeing Highlights Punakha Dzong — Considered the most beautiful fortress in Bhutan, built in 1637 between the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Today hike to Bhutan’s most iconic landmark — Taktsang Monastery, famously known as Tiger’s Nest.
